What a month! I have spent so much time trying to get this site and my radio station to work properly so when you click in to listen you will hear clear sounding music without getting disconnected. Over the last 2 months my stream was being constantly disconnected. There were many times when I went to listen myself and there was nothing playing. I don't know  how many times that may have happened to you, my listeners. I do know this- my listeners have dramatically decreased. In trying to pinpoint the cause for all the disconnections, I have decided to leave the company I bought my stream through after Loudcaster closed and my affiliation with them will end on December 11.
I added a new 64 bit stream from a new company and in testing their stream I have not been disconnected once in over 2 weeks of broadcasting. I also have signed up with RadioLoyalty, which is a 128 bit stream but it has ads on its radio player page. I can also gain revenue from this stream when listeners join up with RadioLoyalty and when someone clicks on the ads. I can also insert ads into my playlist but i am not sure if I will do that. I do not really want to but it is costly to run an internet radio station and I could use the monetary support I could get from the ads.

Right now all three streams are playing the same song from the same source. In the future, after downloading all my songs into the new 64 bit stream I will not have ads on that stream. Only on the RadioLoyalty stream will have ads. Then I basically will have 2 Radio stations playing my songs but not sharing the same source so there will be different songs playing on each stream. I hope that is clear.
You can see the links to the new streams at the top of this page and the Home page.
I thank you for taking the time to read this blog message and trust you will give HymnJimsRadio another listen. Please leave a comment on this blog or fill in the comment section on the Home page or facebook page.
I pray God will bless you all.

In today's world when every one who has access to a computer or a mobile device has a voice and can be heard by millions of people correct Biblical doctrine is very important. There are many false teachers out there and we must be aware of them.
When it comes to Christian music I wish every song could be written without error. That will never be the case because we are all human and subject to error. The Bible clearly tells us to avoid people who cause dissension and obstacles contrary to the doctrines we learned. Romans 16:17. If there is a musician who sings supposedly Christian songs but all of their songs are full of error I would avoid those songs. I would avoid so called Christian songs written by writers if I knew the person was living against the teachings of the Bible. There are some song writers I will not play on HymnJimsRadio because of their lifestyle and what they say about the Bible.
We must remember Christians songs are not on the same par as Scripture- which is inerrant. Songs may contain doctrinal errors because the person who wrote the song may be in error on a subject but I do not let that keep me from enjoying the song or worshiping God in Spirit and Truth. How can that be? Because when I sing along to a song I do not bring the songwriters theology into my thoughts. I bring my understanding of God, Jesus the Bible into the words. So I sing to God along with the song writer but we may have opposite understandings of what is being sung.
An example would be I would never play George Harrison's song "My Sweet Lord" on HymnJimsRadio. I could sing along to the song however if I heard it outside, in a store or someplace else. I would replace Hare Krishna with "Lord Jesus Christ" when it came to those words in the song.
I completely understand if someone was to tell that what I was doing was wrong. I do not have that conviction. I think we do similar things all day long, but that is just my opinion. I do not think a Christian invented computers but that doesn't stop me from using a computer to get the Word of God out to the world. So I believe I can use a song written by unbelievers, songs with errors in it as long as I do so with a heart set on Jesus Christ.
As a song leader for many years at church there were songs, hymns that were clearly against what our beliefs were at that church. What we did was try to figure a way to rewrite the words so it would be correct according to the Bible and we would sing it. If we could not do that we would not sing the song.
So I do the same thing with the songs on HymnJimsRadio.com. The rest is up to you, as a Christian, to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you as you walk in the Light, as you live in a fallen world and as you witness for Jesus Christ. I do not follow men as my aim is to please God in all I do, including the songs I play on HymnJimsRadio.

If I remember right the first Christian album I bought was a Dallas Holm Album. I remember going to Boston Ma. to listen to him play before David Wilkerson spoke. It was a good time. I think it was some where around 1978. Before that I thought all Christian music was either hymns or praise chorus'. Then my brother and I bought Daniel Amos' self titled album,  at that time they were playing light country rock.

It was a fun time listening to them. I think I even bought an 8-track of Daniel Amos, lol.  I enjoyed going on the musical journey with Daniel Amos as they went from country to rock, to punk, to alternative to whatever else they did, like an album where they called themselves The Raptures.

Anyway, living in the northeast USA also known as the frozen chosen, not many Christian artists came this way in the 70's. In the 80's a church in Boston, Tremont Temple, had concerts on a regular basis. I went with friends and family to see Honeytree, Don Fransisco, Dion, and others I don't remember. Oh well.
Then Gordon College began having concerts in their gym. There I saw Randy Stonehill, Tom Howard, Servant, and Don Fransisco again. I am sure there were others which I have forgotten. I guess they must have been forgettable.
In Lowell Ma. I saw 2nd Chapter of Acts sometime in the early 80's. That was a fun time though they did not sing many songs.
My all time favorite concert was Don Fransisco when he came to Brockton Ma. in the summer of 1981. It was just him and one other guitar player but he was absolutely amazing and full of the Holy Spirit. I will never forget that concert.
I never did see Daniel Amos in concert. Or Petra. I really wanted to see both of them.
It has been a fun and spiritually uplifting time as I listened to these people play music for God over these many years.
May God bless the song writers, musicians and all the behind the scenes people who brought us this wonderful style of music. When things get dark and gloomy in this world, Contemporary Christian  music is always there to be used by God to bring joy back into our heart.
Praise God!

Hello Friends.
When I started HymnJimsRadio.com I really just expected a few people in the USA and North America to find me and to listen. However, after doing a small ad campaign I can see how Christians from all over the world have found our little station. For now it is just me, Hymnjim, that sets the music playlists and I am doing whatever I can to make the station better.
What a blessing it is to me as I read your comments about how listening to HymnJimsRadio.com has blessed you. Thank you all so very much for tuning in.
I invite all comments and suggestions so please continue to fill in the form on the Home Page with the comment box or you can leave a comment on this blog page.

As the station grows and since we do not have commercials and the costs of having an online radio station will continue to rise I may ask for some donations to keep us going. That was purpose of setting up a store page to offset the costs of keeping the station online. I am almost ready to put some products in the store so keep an eye on that page.

Thank you again for listening. May God bless you all abundantly.
